The idea—both simple and bold—that has been close to our hearts for a long time is this: “To bring together, for a weekend, a group of passionate dancers who practice different dance styles and have varying levels of expertise.”
Throughout the weekend, as BeING, we will accompany and guide the entire group through a total of 8 hours of workshops to help them discover their movement, physical expression, and state of mind in a space conducive to exploration, exchange, and co-creation. Throughout this experience, we will also share our practice of “Mindful Movement DialoG .”
Whether you’re a seasoned solo dancer curious about dancing with another person, or a couple of experienced and/or highly motivated dancers eager to discover or explore other possibilities for interaction through movement, this intensive workshop will certainly be exactly what you need.
But be warned: this isn’t a traditional workshop where the instructor is there to teach you. No! We’ll simply guide you through various exercises so you can experiment with different movements, interactions, and possibilities—and thus unlock your full potential.
To date, there are three chapters running so far :
– MMD Chapter 1
– MMD Chapter 2
– MMD Chapter 3
Inga and Browly (BeING) started dancing West Coast Swing separately. They traveled extensively to learn and analyze the similarities and differences in the techniques taught. They were even more noticed when they started teaching together at West Coast Swing events five years ago. Rather than focusing solely on WCS, they chose to dedicate their partnership to sharing an approach developing mindful, connected and musical dancers whatever the dance style: Mindful Movement DialoG.
Their challenging, fun and often breathtaking classes apply to all forms of partner dance, and their commitment to helping dancers find their own voice has made them popular worldwide.
